Jon Thuermer

Jon is a graduate of Denison University in Granville, Ohio, with a BA in Economics and Political Science.  He also holds an MBA with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from the Olin Business School, Washington University in St. Louis.

Jon recently was a founder and CFO of an industrial supply company in the Dayton, Ohio area.  He managed the financial requirements of the company, including bank financing, cash management, forecasting, and budgeting functions.  Other responsibilities included selection and implementation of various enterprise IT solutions, employee benefit packages, as well as inventory control and procurement.  Jon also handled primary functions when the firm purchased a second company. This included integrating the operational and financial functions of the two operations, a financial analysis of the acquisition and due diligence.

Other positions Jon has held during his career include sales of health insurance plans for a major insurance company with an emphasis on alternative financial arrangements.  Jon also sold communications solutions, both voice and data, for a major telecom company.

Recently, Jon also held the position of Treasurer of the Dayton Amateur Radio Association - a 501c3 corporation, and served on its Board of Trustees. His responsibilities also included being the Finance Chairman of the Association’s main fund raising event: The Dayton Hamvention(R), which is an international show that attracts in excess of 25,000 attendees from around the world and raises hundreds of thousands of dollars annually for the organization.
